Hey there!

I'M EMI

Nestled in the heart of Sedona, I’ve crafted The Desert Moonstone as an extension of my love for nature, creativity, and intentional living. As a Sedona local and a soulful photographer, my life is a reflection of the desert’s beauty—raw, serene, and deeply connected to the earth. Whether I’m hiking the ancient red rock trails with my two dogs or traveling to far-off places to capture the world’s hidden wonders, my spirit is one of exploration and reverence for nature.

Every detail at The Desert Moonstone has been thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of calm and connection. This space is designed not just for rest, but for reflection, offering an escape where you can slow down and feel the grounding energy of Sedona’s sacred landscape. My eye for beauty and my intention to create spaces that heal and inspire are woven into every corner, from the warm textures of the retreat to the expansive views that invite you to reconnect with yourself and the natural world.

For me, The Desert Moonstone isn’t just a place—it’s a feeling. It’s where you can pause, breathe, and rediscover the beauty in simplicity. Here, I invite you to experience Sedona’s magic through my eyes, both as an artist and a guardian of the land.

"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.”

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND

THE DESERT

Moonstone

The name The Desert Moonstone holds a deep personal meaning for me. Moonstone has always been more than just a crystal—it’s been a source of comfort, guidance, and grounding throughout my travels and life’s journeys. Known as the traveler’s stone, peach moonstone is believed to offer protection and insight, helping one find clarity and peace no matter where they are.

This idea of peach moonstone guiding those in need of rest and renewal felt like the perfect reflection of what I wanted to create here. The vast, open desert of Sedona has a quiet magic to it—just like the moonstone, it draws you in, allowing space for reflection, healing, and discovery. I wanted The Desert Moonstone to be a sanctuary where guests can come to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves, much like I’ve found my own moments of peace and clarity through the moonstone.
